Drat Glider

This is Drat Glider, its as far as I know the first or one of the first all Lego® gliders. While it cannot achieve true flight, it can glide for about 18.5ft. The blue material on the wings are the "solar panels" from the Lego® mars rover set: #7471, its a slightly see through flexible plastic. I plan on eventually making better versions, my goal is to achieve a flight distance of 50ft with the final version. The CAD file includes everything you need, minus the Lego® parts, its zipped so you will need WinZip or something like it to open the file. The two movies try to show it in flight, the only problem is that it moves to fast for the Lego® VisionCommand™ camera to capture affectively.
